In the middle of watching the music video for Muse's Dead Inside, I was so engaged as an audience member with video that accidentally the earphones dropped out, like they had been ripped out, taking me out of the moment.
This could be a good diegetic interlude/interruption or outro, when suddenly the music stops and someone is watching this video, and the end plays out on that screen, and the the now diegetic sound of that narrative world is the normal music playing out of the ears.
