Again, do not proliferate your blog with lots of posts like this. Reflect on such points in the (meant to be) regular podcasts.
ReplyDeleteYou should have a detailed post for planning of each shoot (including call sheets - and you need to have separately posted an overall storyboard); then a post reflecting on the shoot asap after filming, including some sample clips edited together, and any (edited) behind-the-scenes (which should immediately be put on your social media, to build up content for your website and evidence of audience engagement).
Your shoot planning post lacked a clear shot list or call sheet; there is no reference to two/3/4 shots, or specifics on angles or movement for example. You need a clear and simple list YOU can tick off, so you don't need to think about what to do on the day and can film as quickly and efficiently as possible.
ReplyDeleteEither in this post or a follow up post there should be reflection on the shoot:
- summary of what went well
- summary of what didn't
- summary of anything you failed to shoot
- short edited sample sequence of shots
- edited behind the scenes to evidence directing, set dressing etc
